Nursing Homes Support Scheme Act 2009

The Nursing Homes Support Scheme Act 2009 came into force on 27 October 2009 providing the 'fair deal scheme' for those in need of care in a nursing home environment.  It aims to replace the former nursing home subvention scheme in a more accessible and equitable manner.  This Act has significant implications for those who are making Wills should they avail of the scheme into their future.
