European Commission orders Ireland to stop exit tax

The European Commission has formally requested Ireland (and other countries) to stop imposing an exit CGT tax on companies moving residence out of Ireland.  Similar exit taxes arise for trusts and it will remain to be seen if the Commission also reviews this aspect at a later stage.
